[Demise] Supply Lines event
The rules of Supply Lines events are simple:
transport team will consist of mule drivers and transport guards
a mule driver is a non-pvp role, he tries to get the pack horses through
drivers have to follow a road rout and can not leave the road
transport guards defend the mule drivers and keep the road clear
transport guards may leave the road, scout ahead for signs of an ambush
attackers may create blockades that cut off road routs
blockades can be cleared away only when undefended
mule drivers can be captured only when undefended
when an attacker reaches an unguarded driver he can then *capture*
a captured mule driver transfer all pack horses to the captor
an attacker can capture any number of mule drivers
mule drivers are free to take another rout or return to start
supplies that return to the start are counted as a draw
supplies that reach the end count as a win for transport team
supplies that get captured count as a win for attacking team

Gold Train: June 21
The next Supply Lines event will be this Saturday, June 21. Time TBD. Look for afternoon eastern (-5 GMT).
Gold Train
Silver Wolf is worried about increased orc attacks and has ordered excess gold held in the village moved to the strongbox in nearby Empath Abby.
This shipment will be a train of 2 - 4 pack horses transporting Gold from the Wolf village to Empath Abby.
Sign up on RP Ring for driver, guard, attacker positions.
To help designate who is who, attackers will wear a Green Cape.
Attack leader will be Orcs, they will be hidden along the rout.
To assist Orcs requires Orc Kin mask, hiding would be good too.
the attacking team gets to keep any items on captured pack horses
any items left on corpses are fair game, insure items you want to keep
A note on fairness: There is no requirement for balanced teams.
If one side has a larger turn out, the event goes ahead to completion.
A note on Rez-Fighting: Resuscitation of comrades is allowed,
excessive rez-fighting however makes it hard to tell whos side
is wining. Try to limit yourself to three tries if you must.
Avoid using wandering healers to reenter the fighting.
The planned rout is in the attached image. Pardon the old map.

Not sure where to sign up, but if you are short Attackers I created an Orc warrior and will try and get some hiding on him before Saturday. His name is Grokar and will need to be guilded to participate.

You just signed up your Orc.
The time looks like it is shifting into the evening. I predict that we will be able to launch the event at 6 central (7 pm eastern).
[Orc] may be getting some help from their former masters, Undead [UND]. Remains to be seen if we can work out the alliance details in time.
A very seriously good idea that has been presented is, Undead and Bloodclan orc characters both join an Evil Alliance Guild and set their titles to the former guild tags, [UND] and [Orc]. Then the Evil Alliance can War [DAA]. This will allow the use of Field/Area/Summon spells in battle.
(it would be simple enough to have both guilds join an actual evil alliance, but when two alliance leader guilds war - not all alliance guilds are Orange to all enemy alliance guilds - bug)

I just thought of a way to transfer Orc characters to [Evil] and still keep the Bloodclan Orcs [Orc] guild from slipping away from us.
One final question is: can a guild that is in a War still invite new members?
If that is the case, then [Evil] can War with [DAA] and we can pick up the rest of the [Orc] members that are participating Saturday a bit ahead of time, if not sooner.
Guilds that are not [DAA] allies would like to participate by also entering War with [Evil], but I am afraid that our current guild system only allows one War at a time. Please advise if this information is incorrect.

PM [Evil] guild leader, here Illadin or uodemsie.com Evil Child.
The gold will be loaded ahead of time in the Wolf Clan village. The mule drivers and transport guard should meet there up to 45 minutes before departure time if possible. That time, as it stands now is 6pm central.
All would-be attackers can assemble at the Yew Orc Fort. It would be best to bring an Orc Mask to help blend in with the native inhabitance and a Green Cape to help designate attackers on the field.
There you will either have to join [Orc] as a temporary orc stand in or join [Evil] if we have the War in place in time.
Other options are to join one of the [DAA] ally guilds ahead of time or have your guild ally [DAA]. This information is located here on RP Ring and on daa.oomguild.org.
What would be really great would be to merge alliances of all the stand-up guilds that are friendly toward RP into something with a hundred collective members who can put on large events and mass combat scenarios like this one on a regular basis.

This event is going to start today in about two hours. The opposing sides should start getting prepared and organized in a but an hour.
What to expect in terms of strategy from attackers: to capture mule drivers they have to be undefended. That means if there is at least one transport guard alive on the screen, who is fighting then mule drivers can not be *captured*. If attackers are alone on the screen with a driver, then they can be captured.
The same applies to barricades that cross the road. Transport guards can not dismantle road blocks that are defended. To allow the mule drivers to continue, guards will have to move all obstacles off the roadway.
The main goal of attacks is to separate the mule drivers and the transport guards and to prevent the drivers from turning back. One approach would be to make a roadblock and defend it. If the transport team walks up to the blockade, the two sides can fight it out there.
Simple, but there is nothing preventing the transport team from turning back to the start for the draw. Their other choice is to split the transport guard, have one team stay with the mule drivers and another team scouting and clearing the road ahead.
Another attackers strategy would be to make a blockade behind the transport team with a small group of defenders and hide attackers further up ahead along side the road. Or harass the transport guards and try to get them to chase attackers away from the road and kill them off one at a time.

Results: Wolf Clan 1, Orcs 3
The supplies were four pack horses loaded with 30k gold each. The transport team killed the attackers and broke through the first blockade. Further down the road, two horses were separated from their driver because of field spells and captured. On their way back to Orc territory, quick thinking by Little Wolf caused one of these horses to be lured back to Empath Abby for one win for one win for the transport team. The mule drivers whet on ahead, but the horses came under attack from hostile locals in Yew. One was killed by a Reaper. While transferring gold onto the surviving pack horse, the last driver was captured by Grokar, counting as another two wins for the Orcs.
Things did not stop there. Afterwards there were a series of reprisal attacks. Since the pack horses were recently fighting, Wolf Mother who was one of the drivers was not able to hand over the horse, so she went with the Orcs back to the Orc Fort. Little Wolf attacked and got Wolf Mother free.
Once back at what was supposed to be the safety of the Wolf Clan village, Orcs soon arrived for their own counterattack. This lead to a series of captures and prisoner exchanges that left, the Wolf Clan village walls partly burned and Pa'Okie and Grokar in cages.
